8/7/2023 0 Comments Strife moba trailer![]() ![]() Both LoL and DOTA have struggled with controlling toxic behaviour in its community base against new players which makes it difficult for them to pick up the game. It's as if teamplay is meant to be punished. People will either steal from you or be too "noob" to understand how to not screw another teammate. ![]() Meaning, even if you are attacking the same enemy character with your teammate, the one to get the last hit gets all the goods. Most MOBA have a very tight control on the gold and XP you earn based off the original DOTA mod. And the MP game looks nice and clean overall. It's still fun to play through and you get to understand some champions skills as well. However, I still do have a gripe that the SP campaign is the same old dungeon crawler type atmosphere. The "adventures" are being released as episodes with a lot of thought being put into the content and story. There is a lore being built and unlike other MOBA, you get to play single-player missions to experience the lore, rather than read a novel-length exposition on how each character of League of Legends came into existence. except his ultimate power turns him into the aforesaid beast, Grendelfang! One of the champs is a hunter hunting a beast called "Grendelfang". Strife looks colorful and easy on the eye. I never understand how big publishers can't break out of the DOTA mould and put up a nice bright arena instead of the cliched dark dungeons/forests that's rampant in all the MOBA games that come up. But Strife keeps the pace fast and action going so it's hard to notice the time go by. My games usually last at least 25-30 mins and I hate long gaming sessions. Rushing into an enemy is a highly risky proposition even if you are ganking on them unless you know which skills that champ has picked up. Yet the beauty of this game is fact that your champs have real power. I do know certain champs are almost never picked up. The skills and items are easy enough to understand and the champions themselves have a good sense of balancing so that no champion gets too powerful, though that can be subjective. Strife is very easy to pick up, gameplay is fun even though it's simplified and there are unique strategy elements like defeating an NPC to get this monster Gorrila to push the lane for your team. DOTA was astonishingly difficult to pick up and every other MOBA I tried just didn't get the balance of fun vs challenge right. Having given up on League of Legends servers due to their high pings and the absolute toxic behaviour of players to new comers (I am lvl 29 there and I get harassed all the time by people who think of themselves of league level players), I was looking for an easy to play quick learning MOBA.
